From May 12th to May 19th 2009, Coca-cola (China) vice president Li Xiaojun, David Brooks, president DouglasA.Jackson’s wife Colleen, AIDS foundation president Li Chaolin and general secretary Gong Manku et al 7 people visted the AIDS-impacted orphans in Longyang city，Yunnan province.
In financial support of Coca-cola， AIDS foudation has corporated with Yunnan Maternal and Child Development Centre to conduct a care project for AIDS-impacted women and children across Yunnan province. This project provided children not only fundamental living expenses, education and medicare supports, but also more importantly offered them mental support and career training. In further, helping retrieve the stress of children and establish them new concept of care and knowledge for prevention of AIDS; helping foster families learn effective methods of family education and sklls of communicating with children.
Women could acquire a small amount loan to improve the development in farming and living conditions. Meanwhile, it could establish a good confident to future life and decrease the relevent discrimination.
